On Sunday there were Striders at Brighton and Paris taking part in the marathons.
At Brighton, Jenny Ingram-Tedd ran a well paced race finishing in a pb of 3:57:21, a full 31 minutes quicker than last year! Michael Spicer finished in 6:23:06 in his first marathon. .
Danik Bates took the trip across the channel to take part in the 43rd Paris marathon finishing in 3:52:06. The day before, he also ran the de Montsouris ParkRun in a time of 24:24.
On Saturday, Dave Stafford and Clare Moore ran their 6th marathon of 2019 together in the Top Run marathon at Walton on the Thames.
I do like to be beside the seaside!
Sue Loughran travelled to the seaside on Sunday for the Frinton and Walton half marathon. Sue completed the run in a time of 2 hours 33 minutes.
Easter egg hunt
Twenty Striders took part in the annual club Easter egg hunt on Sunday. The eggs were hidden in a route around Weston, Halls Green and Damask Green and runners had to spot them as they completed the route. 100% success with lots of chocolate eaten by all on the run!
The Saturday parkruns are well supported by Stevenage Striders, including a number of the club volunteering to ensure the runs can take place.
Stevenage – sixteen of the club took part in the run with three achieving pbs. Tony Castro was running his 50th parkrun.
