Great South Run

Peter Monk took part in the 10-mile (16km) event in Portsmouth and Southsea on Sunday. Peter finished with a time of 01-26-57 which is a new personal best time.

Yorkshire 10

Tom and Emma Sclanders took part in the Yorkshire 10-mile race in Leeds on Sunday. Tom completed the course in 01-07-30, finishing 126th out of 3173 runners while Emma finished in 01-19-20, finishing 567th. Emma and Tom scored 10-mile personal best times in the process.

Marathons

Davie Stafford and Clare Wing were back in marathon action this weekend. Starting with Clare, she completed her 51st marathon at Walton-on-Thames on Saturday finishing in 04-29-06. In the process Clare has completed her 26 marathons in 52 weeks challenge (to which it only took her forty-one weeks to complete!). Davie (whilst pushing a buggy) out around the course in 04-13-53. On Sunday it was Abingdon marathon which the pair conquered. Clare completed the course in 04-20-00, which means she is now 19 marathons into her 52 marathons in 52 weeks challenge. Davie produced a strong performance and finished 03-52-24.

Excalibur 10 timed challenged

Sue Loughran was also at Walton-on-Thames at the weekend and completed the six-hour challenge. There were two medals at stake, distance in the six-hour challenge (minimum requirement was one lap) and second medal for doing three laps of the course. Sue completed 9.8 miles (3 laps of the course) in 02-14-00.

Cambridge Town & Gown 10km

Frances Levy and Ian Levy took part in a 10km event in Cambridge at the weekend. Ian finished in 51-44 and Frances in 52-41.  

Great South Run

Richmond Autumn 10KM

Yacira Bianco completed the 10km (6.2 mile) course in Richmond, south-west London on Saturday with a time of –1-12-07.  

Parkruns

The 5km (3.1 mile) free-event for all took place on Saturday morning and there were some Striders out in force, some at Stevenage, some away.

Away days in the UK

Heslington (Yorkshire). Tom Sclanders 25-26 (123rd out of 329 runners). Emma Sclanders 26-04 (135th).

Pocket (St Neots, Cambridgeshire): Ken Marshall 27-25 (54th out of 141 runners).

Teignmouth (Devon): Linda Howell 28-24 (76th out of 165 runners).

Letchworth (Herts): Eloise Billington 25-47 (19th out of 118 runners) – 1st in age category (SW20-24)

Hanworth (South-West London); Gary Sherin 25-41 (27th out of 88 runners).

Stevenage: 336 runners took part in the two-lap course at Fairlands Valley lakes.
