All of our run leaders are DBS-checked and follow agreed club protocols. Most hold basic first aid training, and several are also qualified in Leadership in Running Fitness (LiRF)—a course created by England Athletics to equip them to support our runners.

For our group training runs (such as speed endurance sessions), dedicated run leaders are assigned (see below). They guide each session to ensure everyone stays safe, supported, and gets the most out of their training. As the main point of contact within the club, they are also your go-to for any questions or concerns.

    Head Coach, Fallows & Track Lead
    Esther loves to lead track and long runs, and is qualified in Leadership in Running Fitness and is undertaking her Coach qualification.

  • Russ Andrews

    Fallows & Impalas Lead
    Russ loves to lead speed endurance sessions, and is qualified in Leadership in Running Fitness.

  • Paula Heyes

    Brockets & 0-5k Lead
    Paula loves run leading the 0-5k group and speed endurance sessions. She is also qualified in Leadership in Running Fitness.

    Carmien is in her element leading the Striders' 0-5k program. She is also a fully qualified personal trainer.
